WIP Cool Cap Bump Shell – lightweight protective cap for the water
WIP Bump Shells are not helmets but bump caps certified to EN 812: they reduce the effect of small bumps and knocks and protect against minor cuts and scrapes. The flexible shell is inspired by nature – its shape and structure are based on scallop shells, which offer exceptional strength at low weight (biomimicry).
The Cool Cap shields your head and face from UV rays, and its cork peak adds buoyancy. A rear double adjustment gives a snug fit, and the ear protection guards against wind, splashes and cold. Thanks to its low weight it stays comfortable on long sessions.
Ideal for light sailing and board sports – sailing, pumping, downwind, wing foiling, parawing, windsurfing and kitesurfing – as well as for coaches, lifeguards and sailing instructors.
Note: Bump Shells are certified to EN 812 and do not replace a water sports helmet certified to EN 1385. For freestyle, high speeds or obstacles, WIP recommends a helmet.
