Information on Battery Disposal
In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices containing batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following:
Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste.
You may return used batteries that we carry or have carried in our product range as new batteries at your own expense to our shipping warehouse:

Alternatively, you may dispose of used batteries at local collection points.
As an end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries so that they can be properly recycled or disposed of.
Used batteries may contain hazardous substances that can harm the environment or your health if not stored or disposed of properly. However, batteries also contain valuable raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel and can be recycled.
Meaning of Battery Symbols
The symbols shown on batteries have the following meaning:
The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin indicates that the battery must not be disposed of in household waste.
If batteries contain certain amounts of lead, cadmium or mercury, the following abbreviations appear beneath the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicating the respective hazardous substance:
- Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004% lead by mass
- Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002% cadmium by mass
- Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005% mercury by mass

Information regarding the costs included pursuant to Article 56(4) of the EU Battery Regulation (Regulation 2023/1542) can be found at the initiative “Batterie-Zurück” .
