foilit is more than just an online shop. We live and breathe foiling – in all its forms. Wingfoiling, pronefoiling, downwind or pump – our heart beats for the magic of gliding. That feeling when board, foil and water merge into one. And for the best gear to experience exactly that.

Kai-Nicolas Steimer
Foil pioneer & technical brain behind foilit.de
Kai is one of the very first foilers in Germany. Long before foiling became mainstream, he was already out on the Baltic Sea – testing, learning, evolving. Based at the Eckernförde Bay and co-founder of the Kiel Westside foil community, he has helped shape the scene in Northern Europe.
His playground: the whole of Europe. Kai has completed more than 1000 kilometers of downwind runs – from the Baltic and North Sea to the Atlantic. As a naval architect and former SUP racing pro, he combines technical knowledge with elite-level performance.
Those who know Kai understand: he doesn’t pick up gear lightly. Every setup is analyzed, tested in real conditions, and discussed with fellow riders before we even think about offering it in our store. Kai shares his insights openly – through tutorials, reviews and face-to-face exchange.

Brand, content & community
Thomas caught the foil bug about three years ago. Inspired by Kai, he quickly became hooked and now rides everything from wing and SUP to downwind setups. Always with the goal to push his own progression.
Behind the scenes, Thomas manages brand strategy, content marketing and ambassador relations at foilit. His mission: to make sure every brand is presented with clarity and passion, and that every product finds the riders it’s made for.
