Shape & Design Details
Outline:
The Aviator Downwind features a sleek, parallel outline with a notably straight mid-section. This straight outline helps the board get onto foil as early as possible while minimizing the amount of board being pushed through the water, thanks to its refined and complex bottom contours.
Rails:
The rails feature a hollow, concave bevel design which significantly improves tracking. This is especially important on back-footed foil setups that require the foil to be positioned further forward in the board, ensuring stability and control at speed.
Rocker:
The rocker remains very low through the stringer, while the rails carry more rocker due to the pronounced vee and complex bottom shape. This combination allows the board to fit naturally into both small wind bumps and larger ocean swells when paddling up.
