RSPro HexaTraction Grip Clear Basic – modular grip without wax

Not every board needs a full HexaTraction kit. Some boards only need grip across a compact stance area, between existing pads or in a small high-use zone. The RSPro HexaTraction Grip Clear Basic offers the same modular, low-profile traction concept as the standard kit – with half the coverage and less weight.

The Basic kit contains 9 full and 2 half hexagons, each 16 cm across, plus the installation template. The transparent hexagons add surface texture while leaving the board graphics visible. Ideal for river, wake and kite boards, compact traction zones and gaps between nose, front and tail pads. If you need more coverage for a shortboard, longboard or SUP deck, the standard kit (18 full + 4 half hexagons, 115 g, roughly twice the coverage) is the better choice.

HexaTraction is not a thick EVA pad – it offers no cushioning, raised arch or kick. Choose it when low weight, a low profile and simplicity matter more than cushioning.

How many kits do you need? According to RSPro, a surf shortboard normally needs 1 standard kit, funboards and longboards usually 2 (3 for boards longer than 8'). A SUP nose normally needs 1 kit, a full SUP deck 2 to 3 kits. For river, wake and kite boards, 1 HexaTraction Clear Basic is usually enough.
