AFS Chipri Legacy – A Tribute to an Exceptional Rider
The Chipri Legacy is more than a board – it is a tribute to Chipri Courde, the iconic AFS ambassador whose vision of surf foiling was ahead of its time. A radiant, humble, open guy who built connections naturally everywhere he went. The artwork, entrusted in part to a tattoo artist close to him, quietly brings out the idea of mana – that calm, radiant strength that defined him.
A part of the proceeds from every sale of this model goes toward an initiative dreamed up by those closest to him, in his honour.
The Shape – Point by Point
- Offset Stance: Ergonomic deck contour, powerful leverage on the foil's tips and excellent toe grip on the rail curve
- Outline & Length: Slightly lengthened to ease wave entry. Elliptical shape that flips around the back foot
- Recessed Standing Zone: Lengthened and simplified for more forgiveness and freedom in foot placement without losing efficiency
- Deck Line & Concave: Slightly diving. Progressive concave, more moderate under the back foot, more pronounced up front
- Rails & Nose: Generous rails that keep you forgiving on touch-downs. Material removed from the front of the deck to cut inertia when pumping
- Water-Release Lines & Tail: Tightened to improve flow release – limits suction and improves behaviour through whitewater and choppy zones
- Carbon Construction: Full triaxial carbon sandwich, high-density foam, US double rail – light, stiff, lively

- 30 L (4'1") – For seasoned surf foilers after an ultra-reactive wave-riding board. The benchmark size to fully tap into the shape's offset DNA
- 35 L (4'5") – The DNA sweet spot: excellent balance of reactivity and forgiveness. Ideal for the vast majority of intermediate to advanced riders
- 40 L (4'9") – For bigger surf foilers, or anyone after extra lift in softer wave conditions. Also works for lighter wing foilers
