KT Drifter Surf Carbon – compact performance prone foilboard for maximum control in the surf
The Drifter Surf is built as a true performance prone foil board. Compact, efficient and reactive, it combines refined dimensions, precise volume distribution and a lightweight carbon construction to deliver an incredibly direct ride feel.
It offers fast paddle acceleration, easy wave catching and stable pop ups. Once flying, it feels extremely light and disappears underfoot, allowing tight turns, fast rail to rail transitions and smooth connected carving even in critical sections.
Feeling
The Drifter Surf feels compact, direct and highly responsive. Quick paddle acceleration and easy wave entry combine with a very connected feel once flying.
Stability is positioned where needed for paddling and pop ups, while minimal swing weight keeps the board forgiving in the air and during touchdowns.
Speed
The board builds paddle speed quickly for early wave entry and fast lift. Its compact outline, efficient rocker line and clean rail release help match wave speed with minimal effort.
Once on foil, it remains light and efficient, allowing you to carry speed through turns, pumps and transitions.
Characteristics
The Drifter Surf is designed around the core needs of surf foiling: paddle speed, stable pop ups and a board that feels small and direct once flying.
It performs in messy surf, steep sections and aggressive turns without feeling sticky or oversized, while maintaining predictable behavior through touchdowns and whitewater.
Shape
Surfboard-inspired outline with an aero nose that supports the chest for comfortable paddling and effortless wave catching. The volume distribution provides stability during paddling while keeping a direct feel once on foil.
Subtle deck concave improves control and guides foot placement. The pulled-in tail ensures fast turning and clean rail release.
Bottom
- Subtle double displacement hull inspired by the Super K2 for stability and lift.
- Tri-plane bottom contours for fast release and early take-off.
- Predictable recovery and smooth touchdown behavior.
Rocker
- Low-profile rocker for efficient paddling and acceleration.
- Moderate nose curve for steeper drops and wave control.
- Slight tail rocker for carving control and balanced feel.
Rails
- Refined almond-shaped rails for clean release.
- Minimal sticking when engaging a rail in turns or whitewater.
- Optimized for smooth transitions and controlled rebounds.
Agility
Fast and reactive by design. The compact shape and low swing weight make the board extremely agile and ideal for tight turns, pocket riding and progressive maneuvers.
