KT Drifter 5 Pro Carbon – stable all-round foilboard for control, glide and efficient take-off

The Drifter 5 evolves with a slightly longer and narrower outline to improve glide, efficiency and take-off. This refined direction allows faster acceleration in lulls and gusty winds while maintaining a stable and balanced standing platform in choppy conditions.

The signature subtle aero nose reduces windage, cuts through chop and supports water starts without compromising balance. Combined with redesigned bottom contours, rail transitions and refined volume distribution, the result is a compact, stable and playful foilboard that remains versatile across conditions.

Feeling

The Drifter 5 delivers a balanced all-round feel with easy take-off, strong rail-to-rail stability and intuitive handling. It is designed for riders who want stability underfoot while still enjoying smooth carving performance.

Compared to longer and narrower midlength shapes like the Super K2 or Arc, the Drifter feels more compact, offers significantly more stability and reduces swing weight.

Speed

Optimized aerodynamics, hydrodynamics and volume distribution provide the easiest and fastest take-off within the Drifter range. Controlled rebounds at both high and low speeds ensure confidence in all conditions.

Characteristics

The Drifter 5 is built around the idea that a balance of glide and stability unlocks progression and more time on the water. It stays stable during transitions from kneeling to standing and remains controlled in messy conditions.

The combination of aero nose and refined rails reduces windage and hides volume, while the standing area remains direct, supportive and stable. The result is a forgiving board on the water that becomes lively and responsive once on foil.

Shape

Slightly longer and narrower outline than previous Drifter models. The aero nose keeps the board feeling compact while reducing perceived thickness in the standing area.

Bottom

• Subtle double concave displacement hull blending into tri-plane bottom chines.

• Defined tail edges for fast release and early lift.

Rocker

• Reduced entry rocker and flatter tail rocker line for faster acceleration and earlier lift-off.
