Flow D-Wing V2 – Setting New Standards for Stability and Upwind Performance
The Flow D-Wing V2 is a purposeful evolution of the original D-Wing concept. Built around the proven reflex profile, stability, control, usable wind range and especially upwind performance have been pushed significantly further.
At the heart of the D-Wing V2 is the reflex airfoil. It delivers exceptional stability and enables full depower without the risk of canopy collapse. This allows the wing to remain safely controllable even in heavily overpowered conditions – in some cases flying exclusively on the A-lines – while still holding impressively high upwind angles.
Bigger Range. More Control.
The V2 offers a substantially expanded usable range with improved low-end for earlier "up-on-foil" takeoffs and a more controlled, refined top-end. Even when significantly overpowered, handling remains precise and stable. Jibes, tacks and direction changes feel more controlled and intuitive than on the V1.
When tacking upwind, the wing can be fully depowered and flown using only the front lines – excess power is effectively shed while maintaining a stable course. This feature sits at the core of the D-Wing V2 design philosophy.
Improved Handling & More Playfulness
One of the biggest upgrades of the V2 is the overall ride feel. Turns and jibes are smoother and more predictable. Many riders report fewer falls and longer sessions. The result: more confidence, faster progression and noticeably more fun.
New Full-Carbon Bar
The redesigned carbon bar removes traditional B lines and gives the back hand complete freedom to move along the bar. A newly shaped overhanging section improves grip and ergonomics – especially in dynamic, overpowered situations.
The lighter, stiffer construction delivers crisper feedback. A refined brake-line attachment reduces interference during maneuvers and supports clean line releases.
Faster Stow & Reliable Relaunch
Shorter, approximately arm-length lines make stowing significantly easier. Split A-lines help identify the front lines quickly and make stow and redeploy procedures faster and cleaner. The entire system is color-coded to minimize tangles and speed up relaunches.
Premium Materials & Smaller Pack Volume
Despite using durable 32 g fabric, the D-Wing V2 packs down noticeably smaller. A new premium ripstop material combines durability with improved packability – ideal for demanding sessions with frequent stowing.
The Next Step in Parawing Evolution
The Flow D-Wing V2 is more than an update. It redefines modern parawing performance – with outstanding upwind ability, a wider usable range, higher stability and a more playful feel on the water.
