Zapple S: Next-Gen Trench Board with Foil Drive Integration for High-Performance Foiling

The Zapple S is Appletree's next generation trench board, specifically crafted for advanced riders, smaller riders, and wave-focused foilers looking to push their performance in surf. Inspired by the success of the original Zapple and developed alongside the new AppleSlice Prone, the Zapple S is a compact, ultra-responsive foilboard built exclusively in performance sizes and designed for seamless integration with Foil Drive systems (Gen2/Fusion).

Standard Inserts: Comes with inserts for straps as standard. Offset options in the rear and V-inserts in the front allow for precise stance adjustment.

The Zapple S was born from the demand of advanced riders looking for a smaller, more responsive board than the original Zapple. A board better suited for foil-assisted takeoffs, tighter turns, and precise foil control in steeper waves.

It is not a beginner's board and not intended for large foil setups. Instead, it excels when paired with a Foil Drive, providing the extra push needed to get going in waves – not flat water.

With its compact dimensions and high-performance DNA, the Zapple S is perfect for riders looking to explore radical new lines, ride otherwise unridable waves, and catch more waves per session.

Foil Drive Compatibility: Gen2 or Fusion

All stock boards are compatible with the Foil Drive Gen2 system. For custom boards, there is also the option to make the board compatible with the new Foil Drive Fusion system!

The Fusion system has a larger battery and extends slightly further forward than the standard Gen2 system. This means that while the Fusion will fit in the standard Zapple S, the foil will sit further back. While this may be fine for many riders and foils, some may want to move the box forward slightly to find the perfect position.

To accommodate this, we extend the trench in the board by approximately 10 cm (4 inches), providing extra room to adjust. This can also be a good option if you feel the standard Zapple has the trench too far back, which can occur with some foils.

Important: We advise against adding the longer trench if you don't need it. It will create a large open gap that can significantly disrupt water flow. Only order this option if you plan to use the Fusion system or are absolutely sure you need the extra space. Contact us for personal advice.

Adding Fusion compatibility will result in a loss of 1L of volume. We do not compensate for this, so keep this in mind when ordering.
