The Appletree Midlength V2 is the purposeful evolution of the original Skipper Midlength – built specifically for Parawing and light-wind Wing conditions. The goal: get on foil sooner, with less effort, with improved high-end performance. A narrower, longer outline combined with technical precision delivers effortless takeoffs, faster acceleration, and seamless touchdown recovery.
The V2 Evolution
- Narrower & Longer Outline: Width reduced by ~1″, bottom rail line pulled inward by 1″ per side – less surface area, less drag, cleaner rail release and faster acceleration.
- Continuous Rocker: Smoother, balanced curve with a less pronounced nose kick – promotes steady speed and a consistent platform for stance adjustments.
- Nose-Up Trim: Foil box repositioned toward the nose creates a natural nose-up trim. Combined with increased front-end volume, the nose stays high during starts.
- Seamless Touchdown Recovery: Refined, rounded V near the boxes blending into a subtle flat section. Sharper rail release reduces drag during touchdowns and pumping.
- Advanced Volume Distribution: Lower center of gravity, connected feel – volume redistributed toward the front for added stability during the launch.

50K Closed Cell Foam
Every board starts with Appletree's own 50K closed cell foam – developed exclusively for Appletree, used by no other manufacturer. Rated at 50,000 kg per square meter while remaining ultra-light and flexible. The closed-cell structure prevents water absorption and means the board won't blow out in the heat.
100 % Carbon Fiber – Vacuum Infusion
All Appletree foil boards are built in 100 % carbon fiber construction. An in-house vacuum technique layers all carbon and reinforcements dry, then extracts the air and injects epoxy resin under pressure – the tightest lamination possible, best fiber-to-resin ratio, and 100 % core bond with no delamination.
- FUTURES Oneshot Boxes: CNC-precision-cut, mounted in ultra-high-density PET honeycomb panel, carbon-sandwiched on both sides
- Heel pads under feet to prevent heel denting
- High-density insert blocks fused to core (cannot pull out)
- Coat 25 surface finish: replaces the hot coat, saves 8–10 % weight, improved scratch and abrasion resistance
- NFC tag near leash point for board registration
