AFS UHM Carbon Mast – Absolute Stiffness. Total Precision.

Building on AFS expertise in composite materials, the UHM masts push rigidity to the limit, for more direct handling and less drag. Designed to transmit every impulse without loss, they deliver even more sensation in flight.

UHM stands for Ultra High Modulus – carbon that has a higher Young's modulus than standard carbon, allowing it to maintain its shape under stress without deforming. UHM carbon fibre is up to twice as rigid as standard carbon. Thanks to these characteristics, less fibre is needed to achieve superior rigidity, resulting in a lighter end product.

The ultra-thin profile with reduced chord minimises water drag and enables pure gliding at optimal rigidity. Despite their thinness, these masts offer perfect control of flex and twist.

HDI Technology (Heavy Duty Insert): Rather than being integrated during lamination, HDI inserts are mechanically locked through the entire carbon thickness. Loads are redistributed evenly across the entire composite layup, turning the mast/fuselage junction into a true structural connection. 3-year construction warranty.
