777 P.T. LTX – Simplified Hybrid Design. Endless Ocean Miles.

At its core, the P.T. LTX introduces a newly developed hybrid airfoil concept with approximately 25 % chordwise double-surface coverage, compared to the P.T. Hybrid’s 50 %. This carefully optimised reduction in internal structure results in a significantly lighter, more compact wing while preserving a remarkably similar wind range and overall performance envelope.

The design adopts a lower aspect ratio than the P.T. Hybrid – even slightly lower than the P.T. Skin – with a clear focus on compactness, stability, and intuitive handling. Deploy quickly, pack easily, and stow compactly in any condition.

Designer’s Note

After the overwhelmingly positive feedback on the P.T. Hybrid, the challenge was clear: create a product with even greater stowability, shorter lines, reduced complexity, and non-inflatable wingtips for instant water recovery with zero relaunch delay – while preserving the high wind-range stability and cruising comfort of the hybrid concept. The P.T. LTX is the result of that vision. It occupies a very distinctive position within the lineup, bridging the gap between the featherlight simplicity of the P.T. Skin and the performance-oriented smoothness of the P.T. Hybrid.

Who Is It For?

The P.T. LTX is designed for riders seeking the best of both worlds: maximum packability and simplified handling, while still wanting the smooth cruising comfort and extended wind range that define the hybrid concept. Its exceptionally short lines make stowing and redeploying remarkably easy – a highly practical companion for long, dynamic sessions. The optimised canopy design delivers efficient, low-fatigue riding, encouraging longer and more productive time on the water.

Wide Wind Range

The hybrid airfoil concept has a unique ability to absorb gusts smoothly, reducing physical strain and creating a far more composed, controlled riding experience. This ability to remain comfortable and predictable over long sessions is what truly defines the concept. Riders can confidently head offshore carrying one or two parawings, covering wind variations that would require three pure-skin sizes – a significant safety advantage on long-distance missions. The same proven design philosophy has been carried into the P.T. LTX, extending the upper wind range while preserving intuitive handling and cruising comfort.

With its reduced double-surface area, the P.T. LTX was developed with one clear goal: achieving the smallest possible packed size without compromising performance. Combined with the premium lightweight materials that have become a hallmark of Triple Seven products, the result is a wing that stashes effortlessly into an impressively compact pouch. The bar size follows the proven compact dimensions of the P.T. Hybrid. The lowered mixer system minimises tangles and ensures smooth, repeatable redeployments – get the wing back in the air quickly and be upwind again in no time.

The proven comfort and smooth ride characteristics of the hybrid concept are very much present here, creating an efficient and composed upwind experience with minimal physical effort. While the P.T. Hybrid remains the ultimate performer in outright Velocity Made Good, the LTX proves itself as a highly capable upwind machine, balancing efficiency with simplicity and compactness. The real advantage: arriving back at your starting point feeling fresh, with energy still in reserve for what truly matters.

Water Relaunch & Safety

The full-span water drainage system efficiently channels water across the entire canopy, helping the wing quickly regain its shape after contact with the surface. The non-inflatable wingtip design prevents the tips from instantly catching and anchoring in the water, giving the rider valuable time to regain position and maintain control. Integrated mesh drainage panels further accelerate water shedding. The result: highly predictable behaviour and extremely fast redeployment with virtually no relaunch delay, even in dynamic open-water conditions.

Reinforced Canopy Shape

The leading edge is reinforced along its full length, ensuring accurate profile definition and consistent behaviour even under heavy load. Dedicated lightweight plastic reinforcements within the nose section of the internal cell walls maintain the optimised airfoil shape under high loads. Gibus Arc reinforcements in the most highly stressed ribs optimise load distribution throughout the canopy, translating line forces into clean, coherent tension across the sail – for a smooth, stable, wrinkle-free profile even during aggressive riding or overpowering gusts.
